Yungja Cha (Honey Citron Tea)
As the weather changes, we are prone to catching colds or flu. This tea could be a big help. I first tried this in South Korea and just bought it from supermarkets but now that I’m already away, I have to make my own. Try it too!
Yungcha is the Hangeul (korean language) for Citron (lemon) and cha means tea.
Ingredients:
5pcs lemon, quartered lenghtwise & thinly sliced
1/4 warm water
3/4 honey
Procedure:
1. Combine water and honey.
2. Pour the mixture over the sliced lemon and mix.
3. Put in the jar. Close jar and let it stand for a day at room temperature. Refrigerate afterwards.
4. To make a tea, add a tablespoon of the lemon mixture to 1 cup of warm water. Mix & enjoy!
